Recently on a beautiful fall Sunday afternoon, I went with friends to look at houses they are considering to buy. We visited about 7 in that afternoon and I noticed that the way all the builders had built the decks was the same. I got home and told my wife how glad I was that she insisted our deck not only be built the way we envisioned but also incorporated some really cool detailed features that set it apart, even if everything else was the same.
