As the Holidays are now upon us, many of us succumb to the lure of Christmas cookies and other wonderful holiday treats. You go to parties and have a drink or two and finally there is Christmas Eve dinner and/or Christmas Day dinner and other wonderful but fattening indulgences. You realize that you’ve put on a few more pounds and are desperate for an easy at home workout programs you can use to get back in shape.
If you have the drive and dedication, the P90X home workout program from Beachbody is one of the best I’ve seen. What I like about this program is that it’s a very well thought out set of exercise routines that focus on strength building, cardio, yoga and stretching. There are twelve different DVDs included so you end up mixing up the exercise routines quite frequently. You follow the 90 day schedule that comes with this program, follow the diet (you get a 100+ page diet guide) and you’ll shape up and lose weight. Now I’m not going to say it’s easy but it’s easy to follow. You do need to commit a good hour or more a day for 6 days a week and you need to start very slowly if you are not in good shape. But stick with it and you’ll get results!
