Banana Bread With A Citrus Kick

I’ve been using up ripe bananas in bread for some time now and have never come across a recipe like this one. This is by far the Best Banana Bread recipe I’ve tried. I don’t know why I never thought of adding orange juice and zest to my bread before. It makes sense that they go together because, if you slice a banana, you can squeeze a little orange juice over the slices to keep them from browning so fast. The banana slices that you sprinkled with orange juice taste better than just biting into a regular banana. It’s a nice treat, so why not adding orange juice to banana bread?

I have frugal fruit recipes that I rely on routinely. Fruit is plentiful in our area, and when it’s time to pick, we usually get over-zealous and pick more than we can ever eat. We bring the bags home and all of a sudden realize just how much fruit we have in the house. No matter what we have, at some point we just can’t eat another piece of fruit. That’s when the pots and pans and blender comes out. Time to reinvent the fruit!
